PYI Functional Anatomy 2: Integration Hours
A 25-hour Online Program
Eight live, 2 hour online meetings each Wednesday, plus 5 hours minimum of active learning, to be reviewed by faculty.
This course is:
— Required for the PYI Yoga Therapist Certification
— Eligible for Yoga Alliance CE credit
ABOUT this online course:
In this course we will use yoga as a prevention technique- both to avoid injury, and to age with optimal function. Starting with the feet and working our way up, we will learn safe and sustainable practices for specific parts of the body - reviewing all pertinent anatomy as we go.
Our focus will be on stability and mobility in yoga, clarifying what areas tend to be weak and what areas tend to be tight in the general population, and offering simple yoga solutions to create balance in the body.
Participants will be given weekly practical assignments for each topic. They will be expected to apply what was learned in a one on one setting, and return to the group with questions and discoveries.
