PYI Functional Anatomy 2: Integration Hours

A 25-hour Online Program

Dates: January 8 - March 12, 2019

Eight live, 2 hour online meetings each Thursday, plus 5 hours minimum of active learning, to be reviewed by faculty.

This course is required for the PYI Yoga Therapist Certification.

In this on line course we will cover:

  • Review Anatomy
  • The systems of the body: Lymphatic system, Nervous system, Endocrine system, Circulatory system. How they related to yogic practices.
  • We will focus on how to create safe and sustainable practices for specific parts of the body.
  • Participants will be given weekly practical assignments as we work our way through the body. They will be expected to practice and work with clients on a solo bases and return to the group with questions and discoveries. 



Erin Moon c-IAYT, ERYT 500, YACEP (Functional Anatomy, Mentor)

Erin is a graduate of the PYI Yoga Therapy Program and the Co-creator and director of World Spine Care Yoga Project, an international NGO bringing the practices of Yoga to people suffering from spinal and musculoskeletal disorders, pain and limited mobility in underserved communities. She has been teaching anatomy for Yoga instructors since 2009 in multiple programs around the world. Erin has studied/continues to study with PT’s , OT’s, Chiropractors, Researchers and Neurologists as well pursuing her hunger for knowledge through deep self study. She received her first certification in 2005 from Sonic Yoga and has continued with a 300hr from Three Sisters Yoga focusing on Yoga and Stress, Yin Yoga and Meridians from Love Light Yoga, Level 1 Reiki, Level 1 Thai Massage (Om Sweet Om), Fascia training (Sati Yoga), Advanced Anatomy 202 (Yogamaze) and her 800 Therapeutics from PREMA at PURE. She also holds a 200hr certification in Applied Positive Psychology from The Flourishing Center.
Erin’s love of teaching anatomy comes from a deep passion for the continually unfolding world of science and research of the body and of yoga. She is amazed at how often the incredible intuitive knowledge of yoga is proven to be a path to good health and freedom from suffering.
